Hatori 522 user take note of MBRC metal gasket

    Dudes,
I bought the metal gasket from MBRC for 30-50 size, it fits an OS 50 well but on the muffler side, the holes are yards apart, so advice to all, i think we need to use other brand or modify by drilling new holes on the metal gasket to align with Hatori holes.
Any suggestion which metal gasket i can use?

I don't think there is any 30-50size muffler gasket. The 30 and 50 size have DIFFERENT mounting hole spacing. I am certain because I tried a few 30size mufflers, plane and heli ones and couldn't get them to fit my tt50. One thing I really don't understand is how come the gasket fits the os50 well but can't fit the muffler??? The screw holes for os50 and hat 522 are the same, aren't they?

There is no need for gasket, or some say. For me I am using the ksj ones, the thin metal plate type. There are a few type.
1.dark greyish paper type that gives you more trouble than what its worth
2.Yellowish/white plastic feeling paper type, it is a lot less fragile than the usual greyish paper type and takes heat a lot better, not common
    3. thin metal plate, like from ksj, or some know as k&s
    4. motorcycle paste type, my dad uses it, but I never used this before on r/c. I heard it kills plug.

I think if you are not experiencing any leaking, can just forget about using gasket.

        Hi,

Which gasket did you buy from the store ?

I know part number RCT0014 only for use on TT or OS 50 size engines. These aluminium gaskets fit the the engine flange perfectly. The distance between holes on flange is 37 mm.

These are not for 30 size. For 30 size the distance between holes on flange is 35 mm you need to get part number Gasket 30.

Hatori #522 is a direct bolt on to OS 50 engine muffler flange and the distance betwwen mounting holes is also 37 mm.
        Thanks,

are these for 30 or 50?
Cos the barcode says 30 but the top left hand side of the labels says 30-50.

              Hi,

I am most sorry about this, it seems our staff had wrote on there a wrong thing.

This barcode Gasket30 is for 30 size engines only.

Can we send you the correct part by mail or are you near the store ?

We have a new girl working for us...opps, human error.
              Thanks,

Yes i know it was an aunty, I just called to ask. It was labelled wrongly by the other new staff which usually sits at the counter.

                  Thanks,
