    Thinking of Flying HELI

    Hi, Anyone

I have been flying plane for few year (still flying now - on EP plane) , thinking
of flying Heli (EP Heli only) at the same time . I have some question to ask

    1) I have a Futaba 8UAP radio (9 year ago , still working well)
Can it be use in Heli ? can it be use on those Heli with eCCPM ?

    2) What Heli should I buy- T-REX 450 look good to me

    3) As a beginner in Heli , should I buy 2nd hand heli ?

    4) If I buy T-REX , can my current staff be use in this Heli
    - TP 1320 3S , TP 2150 3S Lipo
    - 22A , 33A , 45A ESC
    - Hacker A20-22L Motor

    1)if this

is the correct profile of ur tx then it is likely u can still use it to fly heli

not too sure abt the swash select.. does it mean u can select between 90/120 deg swash mix?

more senior heli flyers pls jump in because I havent been flying for that long a history :P

2)the trex is a gd choice, u can also look at the current fave which is the mini T which flies really very well stock and 3d capable stock! or u can also consider the honey b king 2 as the new CP "entry level" fave..

3)-for mini T/trex or anything 400 sized, u should be looking at a minimum of 1800mAH to max 2500 mAH batts with a minimum discharge rating of 15C continuous(20C min is recommended) so only ur TP prolite is still usable
-the 33A and 45A esc should be usable provided they support heli modes...
-the motor's KV is too low.. looks for something with a KV ard 3000 to 4000 but not too high.. the 450TH, 500th/sh, z10a, align 420LF/430L/430XL etc.. are all possible choices
    For sale

*Check the manual, it should have eccpm mixing

      2) What Heli should I buy- T-REX 450 look good to me
*Trex is ok, mini titan is upcoming in popularity

      3) As a beginner in Heli , should I buy 2nd hand heli ?
      *If you feel comfortable

      4) If I buy T-REX , can my current staff be use in this Heli
      - TP 1320 3S , TP 2150 3S Lipo * TP2150 still stand a chance if it's in good condition
      - 22A , 33A , 45A ESC * which brand are they?
      - Hacker A20-22L Motor * Nope

I've always believed Nitro Helis allow easy learning due to it's stability.

I started off on the Kyosho Calibre 30.

Of course, to get a feel on flying, the Co-Axials in the market may help?

Futaba 8u non super series dont have 120 ccpm selection , but you can use program mix 1 and 2 to create the 120 degree eccpm function. It will work and I have done that for a friend's minititan. The 8u is a good quality TX and this model is made in Japan while those latest 9c is Taiwan made. For the programming instruction , go to Futaba website look for 8u support Q&A ...
