Building my Mini Titan (the joys and woes...)

Just like to share some experience and photos here:

    (1) If you use loctite, remember to use VERY sparingly! Esp for parts near ball bearings - Some got onto my main rotor and caused a nasty problem there. If in doubt, it would be better NOT to loctite at all. BTW, don't loctite to non metal parts and tapping screws. And NEVER use CA.. ever!

    (2) Aluminum parts are soft! Learnt an expensive lessons from Metal Flybar Control Arm - I had tighten the grub screws too much and caused some damage to the screw threads. Now it's holding with some CA (okay this was done because no choice..They cost over $20 bucks!! ). Arrgh!

    (3) Take your time!I'm glad I followed what I preach. But it's testing my.. Oh well. "Have a little.. Patience"

That's about it. This Mini Titan looks good overall Guess probably wouldn't be able to fly it as soon as I have originally planned for. Update when I make some progress..wish me luck.

    Main Rotor Metal Upgrade:

    Tail Metal Upgrade:

    Futaba S9257 Tail Servo:
Unable to mount as the ball linkage screw is too small!!
Does anyone using S9254 and managed to solve this problem? Cuz it's the same.. HELP!

Hi bro, it's really a joy building the Mini T, I've just finished building mine last Sat and maiden it on Sun. Dun forget when using the 9257 servo, you'll need a step down voltage regulator for it, the servo is running on 4.8V.

      Cheers

my see saw hub like it has some friction inside the screws which causes it to not see saw freely. I think i may have put a little too much locktite on that screw.

Try using a longer screw and a nut on the other side of the servo horn.
Seriously running out of ...Storage space !

Where can I get a longer M1.6 countersunk screw and its nut?

                  Thanks!

Kelantan Rd .....there's a Screws,Nuts and Bolts shop there ! .....if dun have, there is another 'hardware' retail outlet at Eunos.

If really dun have, then go Rotor, RCE, etc and buy a packet of Align Trex450 balls/screws set and pushrod link as the last(or first ) resort ...as mentioned by Johndyl !
