what happen if you extend your tail boom.. cause thinking of getting e550(no commend please.heh) and extend the tail boom. was thinking of the pros and cons..

extend tail boom what is the purpose? extend tail boom might upset CG. extend tail boom also mean you need to extend belt, where to get suitable belt is another issue.

I think he is trying to use e620 boom n belt set on e550.

Cons- shift of c.g. possibly tail heavy. Longer boom n belt more ex. Waste money.

Pros- tail fly more straight in f3c style fff(don't ask me how, ask the pros), help to adjust c.g. if you are using carbon fins and cannot shift battery position anymore.

i have length the tail for both my helis.
trex 450x to trex 450xl tail
R30 to R50 tail

the heli is more stable... as the rudder

longer boom, rudder shold be more responsive and holds better i believe..

longer tailboom affects the moment so theres ur answer .... btw with a longer boom u can handle longer main blades .. i think cyclics will improva too ... i might be wrong on the cyclis thingy
