    Fried AXi 2208/20

    Hi,
A fellow flyer has fried both AXI and PH 25.

Any flyers with similar bad experience? and Can you share the knowledge of removing the Stator from the Casing to do rewind work.
Note "The Outrunner bell with Magnets is removed easily so this area is not a problem.

Heard that you need to apply heat, then knock it out, is this wise?
    Thanks
    Vifo

I had an AXI 2208/20 died on me once. It was sent back for repair/replacment. Try doing a search on rcgroups, I remember coming across one of the threads where they mentioned about placing the stator in an oven for five minutes and then twisting the stator off the base plate.

I am interested on how to wind the motor and on whether its successful. I read that the windings are glued to the stators. They used a dremel to cut off the windings and had to reinsulate the stators.
