actually is quite ok the esky one, you need to tune up abit, if not really very bad, if you are getting for a long terms one you must well get a good one like futaba gyro that will last you for yr....
I fly, then I crash, I fix, then I fly, then I crash, I fix, then the wife ask me to leave.....
hahaha....true...that's marketing....maybe someone who has tested it can review the performance.
Speaking of marketing .... He was marketing to me the other time that using direct drive setup with a brushed tail motor can last almost forever compared to the stock cp2 tail motor.
Even brushless motors cannot last forever, so how can a brushed motor last forever when the carbon brushes wear out so quickly ?
End of the day, it's better for you to do your own research and take what they say with a pinch of salt. Ever since that incident, i never took what they said literally.

End of the day, how long it last really depends on the amount of usage. Well, if you use it continuously for hours without resting the motor, lifespan of the brushless motor will be drastically cut short.
Everything wears out eventually whether brush or brushless.

How long will be the lifespan of brush motor and brushless motor?
Say 1 hour perday?

REALLY HOPE YOU CAN CALL ME mtnbikefreak. IF MY WORD WAS LITERALLY TOO STRONG DONT TAKE TO HEART!
Hi Arto, yes i got the DD tail from Eric (Pips Hobby) during one of the Punggol FF sessions on a Friday night. This is probably the best upgrade for my Hughes. Holds the tail much better than the stock one as it is more responsive. I have been using this same motor for about 4 months now and it is still running fine. My friend who also got the DD tail at the same time for his Hughes is also still running the same motor till now. But we have broken many tail blades due to crashes . It does run rather hot but no problems so far (fingers crossed). Highly recommended. The difference is quite obvious! However you will need to get the tail holder unit to house the motor as well. This will replace your entire tail unit+motor. A little soldering work is required to disconnect the wires from old motor to the new motor.
IN ADDITION I WILL LIKE TO WARN THAT THE EDP50 TAIL MOTOR IS A 7.4 V RATING DO NOT USE A 3S SETUP IT WILL HEAT UP THE MOTOR. MOST OF US HAVE CONVERTED THE CP2 TO 2S. FEEL FREE TO CALL ME UP FOR DETAILS. http://www.daddyhobby.com/forum/show...5&postcount=12
since tt pip hobby is online, may i ask a question? it abt the pg-03 gyro.
firstly, i noe tt a honeybee have gain and proportion to adjust. the proportion let u adjust the rudder to a reasonable ratio with the throttle. so as we increase the throttle, the rudder will oso increase.
however, i was very curious how pg-03 work in a gws dragonfly. there is no proportion to adjust on a pg-03, there is only setup and gain and it a non-headholding gyro. i dun tink the setup = proportion too. so this mean tt as i increase the throttle, i have to keep increasing the rudder too? The stock tx tt came RTF wid gws dragonfly does not have the revo mix function so it not possible to do revo mix oso.
i juz curious, tt all.
