Do you prefer flying high or low?

Anyone of you who prefer fly your TRex (or any heli) as low as possible... like "nap of the earth" maneuvers?

I actually prefer flying low than flying high.

Here is a real (full size) BO-105 flying low and zig zagging trees:

I prefer somewhere in the middle, eye level. But my eye level n ur eye level is different. Rem me 1.9m tall.

When I 1st started flying, I flew the FEDA Dragonfly, always flying low. Cos once loose orientation, throttle dwn n not much of a damage. With my current Trex, throttle dwn, then its bye bye blades, boom, shafts.

Ya, Ya, Ya,...I sang many many bye bye songs until cannot tarhan .

So started the Trex $$ saving thread....But, but...still cannot tarhan lor. So no choice, need to go a bit higher, say 1.9 meter, hehehe

I think 1.9m is alot safer for me.

I was wondering if this has anything to do with flying preference.

Eagle flys high and Chicken flys low

              i like to fly low
              more dramatic liddat what
-if you're flying with some barren land, the downward thrust will blow up the sand
but after tat, your heli sure damn dirty
              flying low is nice

One of the reasons I give up nitro heli is, I prefer to fly just afew meter high, not more than 3-4m.

Careful.. I ever had loose stones flying off, hit and made a huge dent on the main rotor blades. (R30v1 - 2 years ago.)

I also like to see those dead leafs flying around when flying low. Feels like in real heli. As for dirty, well, heck care! Where do u see real (full size) heli that is clean?

Another cool feeling is to hover above a pool of water and see those water ripple.

EDIT: Oh! about flying stone hitting blades, it happen to my TRex before but it is dead leaf instead but but no problem to my heli.

If u referring to flying low and zig-zag obstacle in R/C, I would say R/C can do that but it is a question of u dare or not.

i was thinking if rc helis can make nice hovering sounds like the real one

really like the sound of hovering helis heehee

if there is a heli that can sound like that I sure buy haahaa

My Son also likes to fly low (sometime)....he simply love to do the "walk the Doggie" with the heli.

To me, it looks more like "follow the Chicky"

Anyway, those who likes flying low will most likely be more incline towards scale heli whereas those who soar like an eagle are more likely to be 3D pilot.
