    What is...?

Been reading some heli mags. Came across this thing called auto-rotation gear or something like dat. Can someone educate me as to what is it used for? Or wat is it actually? Thank you.

autorotation is the act of decending the heli without power, using only the upcoming air to spin the blades. near the ground, the rpm energy in the blades is converted to lift, to bring the heli to a nice safe landing.

the autorotation gear is a one way bearing, that allows the rotor head to disconnect from the engine drive train when the rotor speed actually is more than the engine driving speed, such as when there is autorotation. this way, the engine can drive the rotor, but the rotor cannot drive the engine. extra friction from driving the engine during autorotation isn't encountered too and the shaft spins more freely. in theory at least.

I'm now learning to fly the humble bee..
Can I replace the tx to the Futaba 9CHP? Afterall, I'm planning to be flying for a long time. The Humble bee is on the 72mhz ppm. Any problem you guys forsee? Thank you.

            Nope

In fact good TX allow u to use Revo Mixing, ATV, Dual Rate and Exponential.

I use my 9CHP for my Hornet II, Dragonfly, E-Starter and Whirlwind.

can replace with 9c...it can transmit in ppm and pcm...juz get one on the same channel...with a good tx, you will be suprise that your flying can actually "improve"...all the functions do help...

hi all...thanx for the replies. That is to say, its ok that i get the 9chp (9z too ex lah)and it'll work with my humble bee electronics given they are of the same band and frequency. right?
which means, i go buy the 9chp with a 72mhz band and just transfer over the xtal from my stock transmitter and i can fly already? sorry for asking dum questionn. jjust wanna be sure it'll work cause this will be my 2nd very expansive ttransmitter( in my term). and if it dun work, i'll bang balls man....

Is your stock Tx a Futaba?

                      If yes.. maybe you can.
If your stock Tx is not... better not.
Instead just purchase a Futaba Tx using the same frequency+channel.

If u can't find the TX of your frequency, the n u have to purchase TX Crystal for your Honey Bee.

                          nic,
the tx that comes with the humble bee sure looks like an OEM Futaba 4 channel. it transmit in ppm.

SH,if its just buying xtals, its fine with me. but i do worry about the pos/neg shift thingy. As fas as i know or remember correctly, Futaba is neg shift. If it happens that the 3in1(4in1??) unit in my humble bee is pos shift, then i'll have to change a lot of things right for the 9chp to work with it?

nic, i was looking at the Futaba FF9CHP tx, not the JR 9X. So base on wat you say, my worries are unfounded.....right?

                              oh..1 more thing.
i just called SHS about the FF7CHP. When i told the fella i'll be flying on a 72mhz, he ask me for foreign address since its an illegal frequency here. is that a norm? i know that they are just protecting their backside, but how to get a foreign address?
