    Twitcy Servos - Dragonfly

Connect the battery, turn on the Tx, and the servos start to twitch uncontrollably.

Sometimes worse than others but they twitch all the time.

Would this be faulty servo problem, faulty Rx problem of some other gremlin?

Anyone with this problem before please advise.

The heli is a Walkera Dragonfly.. so electronics are crap.

    Thanks in advance

Walkera electronics are a hit or miss thing. They do work if you are lucky.

Of cos they can't compare with the Hitecs or futabas. Their lifespan is shorter.

For your case, you might have problematic servos/servo.

Had the same problem with my Walkera #4. Turns out to be faulty receiver in the 4in1. Started as glitches on servoes, then totally died.

Got a replacement 4in1 from online shop and it solved everything.

Yes, the electronics are pretty bad in my opinion but its also quite cheap....

How do you confirm its the RX problem. Could it not be an interference problem or poor servo connector problem?

          Please advise, thanks

I tested the stock blue walkera servos on my old 4Ch Sanwa radio, and they all perform well and strong and crisp.

As what fireblack explaines in his faulty Rx situation( the glitch & dies off thing ) which resembles mine, I can confirmed it`s the RX. When the replacement comes in again, I`ll retest everything again to double confirm and post results here.

Thank for sharing. Seems a common problem with this heli

Since it is a 4-in-1 and only receiver problem, can you just replaced the rx iso the 4-in-1?

The #4 model is sort-of all in one, RX+4-in-1. Gotcha, I believe w_kby refers to ISO=Instead Of...

Thanks for pointing that out Nazar 78, and yep the whole controller on the heli have to be changed for the Walkera #4, as they are not seperates like the #60 where the speed controller and RX are seperates. Hoped w_kby understands this.

Oh I see, thanks for the clarification.

With my Honey bee, the 4-in-1 (although it is one complete unit) can be opened up and the receiver actually seperated, removed and replaced. Need some rewiring/soldering.

I was also wondering if it is the servo connector of the 4-in-1 side is giving a problem. I realise that with 4-in-1, sometime the connectors get oxidised if not use for long time, this causes glitches and onces cleaned, the glitches is gone.

That could be one of the reasons, but definately not new ones!
