          Training Skids

          Hi sakuragi001,

Training skids are very easy to DIY. I have started a thread on how to DIY you own training skids.

Please refer to the photos toward the end of the thread where I posted improved design which makes the training skids detachable and the wire ties can be reused.

          This is the thread:

For Trex, everyone I know DIY their training skids.

Really easy. The simpliest way is to get a 3mm carbon rod from rotor, cut into 2 halfs, then use wire ties to tie to to the heli. Pin Pong balls from Popular, get 4 of them and fix them up. 10 minutes job.

I don't remember seeing any LHS which sells the training skids for Trex. They do have for smaller heli like the Honey Bee which is not suitable.

There are commerical ones, I got one free when I bought my trex, but trust me, it sucks. The moment that I tried to push the plastic thing into the landing skid, it broke off totally. one word "LOUSY"!
