Ch1 to Throttle(Main rotor) via ESC
    Ch2 Roll
    Ch3 Pitch
Ch4 to gyro input, gyro output to Tail motor
Setup gryo according to instructions but mounted it very near to main motor (any interference problem ?)
Did not use revo mix in transmitter, the GY240 is suppose to handle this since it is Heading Hold (correct ???)
Problem : Heli still spin. Even after setting all the 7 points in the radio program mixer close to -100
Gyro switched to AVCS "ON" but don't seems to be doing the automatic compensation. No different even when switched off the AVCS.
    Questions :
Any other setting/s in the radio need to be done ?
Any other thing/s need to be done on the gyro. Isn't it suppose to do the compensation automatically since it is a Heading Hold gyro ?
What else did I missed out ?

    Deseparately need help.
Don't use the pitch channel? For the cyclics, you should be using the elevator and aileron channel.

Did the tail motor spin when the heli is spinning too?
If it isn't then you did not initialize the esc by holding the rudder stick to the full left after plugging in the battery.

If it is spinning, then you probably have to flip the reverse switch on the gyro.

Also there is no need for any mixing. Keep the rudder input independent of any other inputs. ALso you must use a linear throttle curve. Set your rudder trim to zero too before plugging in. The gyro will read the center stick position and remember that as center everytime you plug in the battery. So you should never add any trim after you plug in the battery.

Thanks guys for the fast response.

Han, I have tried the reverse switch but still no joy. The 7 points I referred to is those in the Program Mix 1 menu.
BonJour, JR has the throttle on ch 1, like what Han mentioned they have different assignment. The rxer I am using is GWS 4ch.

Super-Hornet, I mounted the gyro at the very front of the heli, the wires from the gyro is going toward the chassis (i.e. pointing toward the rear of the heli). I believe this is the correct way. I set the model to "Heli" in the radio. Will try changing to Airplane mode tonight.

AceViperX, I should say it is the Elevator ch instead of Pitch. Yes, the heli spin too. Shouldn't the gyro suppose to take care of this since it is heading lock. I initialised the gyro as per instruction, i.e. wait for at least 3secs. before moving heli. Also done the initialisation for the rudder ESC, i.e. hold rudder stick to max. left before switching on heli.

How do I know if the gain of the gyro is correct/sufficient ? can the GY240 gain be adjusted via the radio during flight ?

Oic.. okay thanks! learnt something today
        Failure is not final,
        Success is never ending:
It is not the destination but the journey that matters.

        Wadever the journey, keep flying!

          Hi 969

Please check your connections with the thread I posted "Information". I t was actually a reply, don'y know how it became a new thread. Anyway, Please check your connections.

Is your tail rotor turing at all? The the tail esc would have to be initialised by holding the rudder stick to the left for a couple of seconds.

Does it start to spin when you phisically move the tail of the heli?

Wrong. You should only push left rubbder after you plug in the battery.

Reset all settings in radio, tried both initialization methods (hold rudder stick max. to left before and after power up the heli), results still the same. I think both method will work, basically trying to fool the ESC into thinking the stick is at the minimum position.
Adjusted the gyro gain to max. still it spins left. If I try to control it with rudder intput it will tends to go left. Have anyone flown the humming bird with separate configuration and JR 9X radio and encountered this problem before ?

                  Dear all,

I am new to heli and would like to pick up this hobby. Any heli(electric) recommendations for beginner like me? Here a few RTF helis that I found in local shops : vortex, Bell, Hummingbee, honey bee and swift(3D).

Heard that honeybee and swift difficult to control. Most attractive heli is the hummingbee come with everything(include simulator, etc). Any inputs? My budget $450 and below. Thanks. Really need your views.

                    Hi all,

Typo error, it should be hummingbird V4. Any inputs for Hugues 300 as well. Really eager to get one. Or should I straight go into SWIFT to learn the HARD? If so are the parts for SWIFT easily available?

                    Thanks.

                      Hi,

After playing for two months with co-axial heli, expert now in control.....

Wanna to move into CP heli at a low cost..........

How come local shops not bringing in 3D CP heli(RTF)???

Have gone into overseas sites and a lot of 3d CP (RTF) heli...?

                      Any answer?

Have stopped playing RC heli for around 3 years already.

Just saw a Vortex and honeybee in my store while packing.

Recall a few years back, I think co-axial is the most easy to learn to control. the honeybee still not able to control since last play.

Anyone can recommend any new co-axial helix beside lama or vortex that can purchase at a cheaper price from shop.

                        Thanks.

After storing a lipo lithium bat for a few years, it is found that one end of the bat is bulging thicker. Does it it coz any harm?

                          Thanks.
