EP8 landed!

Day one of using PCM on 72 and loving it.
The electron6 on 35 allows me only 20steps away b 4 glitching on range testing.. and the crrent setup (JR R900 PCM 72) allows me to go as far as 10m or so!

finally got some data recording of EP8 with Hacker A30-10L
The max watt is recorded to be 324W while it is rated for 425W on

does this mean i can still push the motor regardless of the amps drawn as long as i keep it within the rated watt?

The Amps drawn will determine the power (W). Your motor is rated operating @ 29A for 3s which means ~322W. So I think there should be no problem for you to push the overall or average power consumption to 322W.

ouch.. dont think the 10L will peak at 330W only for higher HS (2200rpm)
btw, the elogger graph was taken with HS of average 1850rpm and moderate flight (FFF / fig8 / backward flight)

It's not uncommon to record higher wattage on a heli than what is listed on the motors, which is more applicable for planes.

Finally managed to get the optical tach (Elogger) to work under sunny condition!
Thanks to Lim (lmf) for providing the black/white disc

Also another point to note, the optical tach has to be very close to the spinning surface (2mm) to be accurate, or attach black heatshrink to the tach and have the shrink almost touching the spinning surface (circled in pic).

Flight data on 3s2p (flightpower 20-30C 2150mAh) and Hacker A30-8XL with 21T.
Headspeed of 1700-1900RPM gives me enough power for normal sport flying (fig8, backward flight)

This motor is rated for 475W, think im really under using it!

Finally upgraded this bird to fly on 6s!
Took me a while to match the most appropriate combo.. so i thought it'll be good to share the flight data.

Current settings as follow...

Main gear 120T / Pinion 15T
Evo20 2150 25C-40C (22.2v)
Stock EP8 paddle & blade
CC60 on governor with trottle curve @ 65 65 65 ..

Getting headspeed of 2100-2200 which is gd enu for me to perform loops/rolls/funnel (Ok.i wasnt really PERFORMING..ive not done loop/roll b 4)

Also, with headspeed of 2200 .. the motor shaft should be spinning @ ~17600 .. not exceeding the max 20,000 limit.
