      why not? gears easily stripped?
i think if it works well on buggies or trucks... should be fine for helis right?

        Hello folks,

I have tried the servos, here are my comments:

The torque is there, the speed is there. Now... the things to improve..:

        1) The centering of the servo is bad...meaning when you move the servo to the extreme left or right...it will bounce before it stop at a position. same goes to when you release to neutral position it will bounce towards the other direction before it stops...

        2) Friend used it on a buggy the servo burned...

        3) The gear get slop easily...even after one run.

        4) The resolution of movement is not too great, but acceptable.

Having said that, its still a cheap high torque servo for those that are not too fussy.

I have tried it on my Sceadu...no problem, tried in on my Savage MT perfect...tried it on my 60 size plane also no problem...

The servo movement on the ground might look scary due to the bouncing moving...but in flight it didn't show any bouncing of aircraft..

        Suggestion for use:

MT and buggy on both steering and throttle, you get great braking power.. reason for use, basically its safe and the bouncing doesn't really matter and its cheap...

Rudder of plane, check out your ability to knife edge.

Heli and other parts of plane, can use...no problem for me so far, but at your own assessment. So far I have it on all channel of my plane no problem.

        Good Luck and have fun..!
        Regards

In control engineering theory, we call this observation as underdamp oscillation (i.e. the servo is unstable)

Normal fly around is all right because servo is not constantly changing its position thus oscillation is avoided.

However if hard 3D (i.e positive and negative pitch constantly), u might feel some unexpected movements.

I do not wanna put my trust on a $30 servo especially when $1.5K worth of equipment is in the air...

                  Hi Art,

I know what you meant, but just my 2 cents about pricing...

I don't know if $30 should be a good representative of = no good, cannot be trusted? I have and had seen many expensive $120-$180 futaba and hitec servos fail on me and my friends before too...

If Towerpro is to sell them at $300 per piece, wah...become very good servo.
