Small EP helis can fly at Tanjong Rhu View... but it get kind crowded sometimes when the residents in that area walk their dog... goes running... cycling, play soccer, fly kite, play golf, jogging, fishing, sit and chat... (think u get what I mean...)

That's the very same place JYHELI lost his plane...

I fly there on weekends now and then, before 730-8am.
Usually for 1 batt pack before I head to the market....
          huh

I think there are quite a few flyers in the east coast area but most of them venture to Tampines Ave 5/CDF field to fly their birds.

Its quite hard to get anything large or noisy airborne in the marine parade/siglap area without the risk of hitting someone especially at the parks/carparks mentioned in previous posts.

I'm based in Siglap and fly a mini titan.

                Flying fields I have used

                1. Tanjong Rhu. Nice place to fly. Never seen anyone else flying there. I'm there at random times. Need to be careful about passers by/joggers etc. as someone has already said. Plus there are quite a few trees to get your model stuck in.

                2. Tampines Ind Av 5. Definitely the best flying field i've been to, but I see in other threads it is being fenced up/closed down.

                3. Small field in East Coast Park near the hawker center / bedok jetty. This is also now closed - they are building something there.

So 1 looks to be the only option for me at the moment.

                What are you flying newbeamheli?
