Lama 4 in 1 Rcv/ESC box

Anyone noes where can I get a replacement Lama 4 in 1 controller box?

Got caught in side draft and my kitt got stuck in a tree. Next thing I noe is the 2 chip overheated and fell out. (okie... ya I forgot to shut the throttle after it got stuck)

Anyone got any idea??

you can find someone good wif soldering to solder it back...provided you didnt lost those chips.

if the chips fell off, good chance that they are fried. You can try simlim tower.
That is provided the writing on the chips are visible.

these chips are directional. ie. you need to know in which direction to mount them.

This type of IC has 3 groups of pins.
Source - pin 1, 2 and 3.
Gate - pin 4.
Drain - pin 5, 6, 7 and 8.
If you have a multimeter, check that each group is not shorted to another group. If it is, you have to replace the chip. If not, you can try soldering them back as numbered in the picture.

look at the top coner of the chip for a "dot".. which indicate pin1. And on the PCB, look for the "u" shape on the drawing for the IC.. the 1st pin on the left of the "u" is the pin1..

Apply a little solder coating on the pad (not too much, a light coat will do), place the IC, and apply a bit of solder to your solding iron and the lightly heat the pin.

Ehh... not good at it leh.
More over its like a 4mm x 4mm chip too small for me to handel.
Anyone seen any place sells this type of 4 in 1 box??

Dude, going seperates gonna cost a bit more..but if u gonna stay long...consider a T-REX..

Just my personal opinion VORTEX from Dynam looks better and spares is not a problem. When it is well trim it can hover hands off. There is currently 4 VORTEX helicopter flying at my work place, soon 4 more will join us when the new shipment arrive.

Two of my friends also bought for their sons, age 10 manage to hover with their first battery pack.

Change to VORTEX, agent provide free repair service only pay for the parts.

Again this is only my personal view.

Just 'land' my Lama in my fish pound.... Now it can't 'talk' to the Tx! Guess is the control box gone. If anyone can get it in Singapore, do let me know the cost and place.
