Still in my growing pile of motors Unless there's interest I'm just keeping it around for testing.
I think the Neu 1107's weight will incur some 4W to 15W of power penalty depending on the work being done. In other words, I don't think the power savings over a lighter motor is going to be as great due to this. Ie. It's got more power but it has to do more work to lug it's own weight around.
As for the Medusa, my concern is for the heat generated, especially in our climate. At 70g it's not too bad for weight. I'd like to see real flight power charts. What concerns me the most about this motor is that I've seen the current peaks hitting 38A or 40A. I'm not sure how well my Quark 33A will like that kind of life. Last thing you want is a blown out ESC and a downed bird with a brand new motor in it.
