I can only do upright tail-inwards funnel...so hopefully my sharing of how i get to that stage will help u a bit.
I progress from doing a tail-in circle, then slowly reduce the tail-in circle with a bit of elevator to tilt the heli in place.....once u can lock the heli into the funnel momentum, all u have to do is to fine-adjust the elevator and aileron to maintain the angle and rate of funneling. U also gotta play with pitch to maintain the altitude....I still find it hard to keep it in a nicely shaped funnel.
Lemme know if anyone got a better method of practise or an easier way of entering into a funnel.

Piro flips u gotta ask the grand masters around here...
My attempts are still 'half-bucket-of-shit'...so not qualified to comment.

999R,
frrom my "sin-seh", he say, must learn how to fly figure eights in all upright orientations.... then in all inverted positions... so that u can easily handle all the odd and hard orientations.... then progress to upright pirouetting figure eights then to the inverted figure eights then u can start piro-flipping liao....
YC! what do you say? I've seen Kian Hong do upright piro figure eights many years ago only....
heard he damn power now...!

the hurricane funnel... i could do this one the sim...
invert foward flight then pretty much pull the elevator....
mode 1 stick position...
elevator foward(1/4) up
throtle idl1 (1/4) down
aileron (1/4) to the right...
this is a lock position...
endering must go invert forward flight...
piro flip-again only one sim...
its a figure of 8 on the thr and aileron(how big the fig 8 will be determines on your heli)
and its just an updown movement of the elevator with the rudder constantly 1/4 to the right...
however the sequence if your stick movement is the crucial part...
i hope this makes sense...sar.ratha@me.com

Enter upright tail down funnel at moderate speed and use ailerons to get into the attitude. then try to point the tail at the middle of the funnel and see how it goes.
At first, the tail keeps going off, but once you can get it more or less there, the rest of the controls will actually be easier.

hi all, I hav some Qs. i noe this is a history thread, but im juz diggin lol~ Since i rest flyin awhile due to still finding a solution to a glitch issue, i had been back clocking on da sim keke.
months back i was practicing out baby piroflip (from uprite hover>nosedown>turn 180deg>noseup>inverted hover>nosedown>turn 180deg>noseup>back to uprite hover). i tried this continuously but doesn't look nice cos some short pauses/misses here and there (my brain thinking) lol.
then i tried practicing da actual one. even though most of the time not perfect, i manage to maintain an almost stationary 4-5 piros per flip a few times. but how do i control da direction of where i want the piro flip to head to?? ie. left, right, away from me, come near me?
im juz practicing on sim, pls dont

by nudging the nose of the heli towards the direction you want it to while pirouetting?
