    Advice needed for micro Heli

I am thinking of getting into micro heli like those of TREX, X400..etc.

Is it a easy to fly heli? I tried the humble bee... and not so easy especially outdoor and worst if there is wind.

Engine heli is out for me as too big and clunky.

Are they easy to hold up in outdoor park with strong wind condition or mots of it is flown indoor and MSCP?

    TIA

You will face less problems with the wind if you get something of a Trex size or bigger.
Do up a good setup on it and it'll be very comfortable even in open parks.

        TREX 450X and XL

What is the diff for 450XL CDE and HDE?

        Which is better for beginner?

Information as kindly provided by Super-Hornet in another thread:

TRex 450 = Version 1. Obsolete. (Special differences = Tail spin 7x faster than main blades). Mechanical mixing.

TRex 450X v2 = Version 2. First succesful TRex. (Special differences = Grey colored body). Mechanical mixing.

TRex 450XL HDE = Version 4? (Why v4? because between v2 and XL, there are few major changes here and there but not a full kit release). (Special differences = Black colored body. Practically all moving parts is using bearing. In v2, some moving parts is using brass bushing). Mechanical mixing.

TRex 450XL CDE = Similar to HDE except it is the first TRex using CCPM. Not really true CCPM due to it is actually using modified linkages to fit HDE body to make it CCPM.

TRex Carbon Fiber Frame = Not a kit but rather modify normal TRex v2/XL to become true 120 Degree CCPM.

TRex 450XL SE = Take TRex Carbon Fiber Frame + all the CNC (metal) parts from Align to make it as a new kit.

                Hi Superon,

Which radio depends on your budget and your in depth into RC. Buying a good radio like 9XII will take you a long way. But an Optic6 is enough for Heli and plane. With a better radio like 9XII, you have more control on the setup of your heli via the settings on the radio. As for Optic6, you still get options to setup your model, but with less options.......You must be comfortable with choice, which is most important.....

For micro-heli, TREX-HDE should be a good start. For CDE, the work on the radio is much more. With proper setup and tunnnig, there is not much problem flying in windy condition. Why don't you meet up with us during our funfly and have a good view of this heli......
