raptor tail belt guide pulley broke...

my r30 tail belt guide pulley had one side of the plastic wore off, leaving the belt off the pulley and the belt seems to have wear off a bit...before I go down to rotor, I need help! The belt and tail belt "gears" have already wear in and seems to have be directionally wore in(on side wear and tear more), so if I change the belt, need to change the main and tail pulley? This is my first one to go off after so many years, but I think maybe it's time for a metal guide pulley...rotor got sell metal one?

Belt and gears are advised to be changed together. if you change either with the other, you will notice faster than normal wear on the new part.
stick with the plastic ones, there is no performance difference with the metal.

art my belt stripped a bit liao...all teeth are there, but the belt is getting hairy...where can keep photo for online posting?

can attached photo here mah...the hair on the belt should be alright....just dun fray too much...burning it off with a lighter helps...

I brought my belt to rotor and compare, but not really much difference...paiseh, din see the attach file thing at the bottom

anyway here is a pic of the belt taken using my hp...not good but at least can see a bit lah...

erm...looks alright to me....just use a lighter and burn off....then drop a bit of CA to seal...should be ok,....just remember to switch to throttle if the bird starts to piro!!

funny thing is the pulley does not have any uneven surface or any clue to show that one side broke/wore off, it looks so shiny and smooth like it was manufacture to be like that...

art thanks for the help, me juz now go rotor buy liao...wanted to get the belt also but see and see also don't see too much difference, so end up juz buy the pulley guide...first time go r/c shop buy so little...haha

erm...next time round if you think you buy little then just get 1 or 2 \gallons of CP20% for me lah...I dun mind free fuel....

eh free fuel ah...me myself already not enough money to buy fuel ...eh art you got think b4 not, why not you set up a mini online store sell some fg and cf blades and some fuel...I am sure people here will support you if you sell cheap cheap...maybe can order a drum...then we supply our own bottles...

it's ok lah..this is my hobby....not gonna turn it into a job....and besides...rotor gives superb service which I cannot match...
