Guess who's sharing BR slope? I was at BR this morning and was kindly told to move away by a group apparently they are using the area for practice. What practice? Rolling down the hill, literally. So I moved aside, and a group of 5-6 or so started to go into trance at the top of the hill. A 'trainer' touched their forehead and these guys started spinning, then fell to the ground and rolling to the bottom of the hill. What's funny is that they came back for a 2nd round! And they are old aunties and uncles!!!

For the new guys, I will strongly recommend a foamie for a start. Alula, weasel , windrider bee(sold under HK as wicked wing), easy glider , either of these will let you go a long way. They are more durable, affordable and easier to repair. Learn how to fly at the slope, manage the wind, spot lift n thermal, n landings. Once you are familiar then proceed to balsa or composites.
T tail or Vtail doesn't matter for landings.
F3x, refers to the different FAI class of competitions. Each of these requires different tasks and thus gliders are design and optimized for that particular class.
F3F - speed task, slope racing
F3j - flat land thermal duration
F3b - flat land winch assisted launching, for duration , distance , speed tasks.
