    Stay Positive and continue

I always take positive learning out of everything and continue to move forward.....I have crash my helis even after flying for years especially when I try new things like new FBL or new heli...or new acrobatic moves....one thing for sure I continue to come back for more.

My saga of composite continue, taking advice of not getting a new expensive high end glider to start. I went for o 2nd hand to test it out. But some of you know , luck were not on my side when I try out on a 2nd E-ginger. Even when I maiden it I have buddy around, not their fault at all I still make the mistake of programming the elevator the wrong way. I was so sure but I end up programing the elevator in according to how a heli swash plate wok....tilt up to nose up.....how wrong is that for a glider or plane. Just one of those day for me.

Like I say, take positive out of everything....now I can learn about fixing it. And thanks to bro Jumat and Kiply for helping to fix it, I decided to do it myself so I learn something new. This actually further confirm that I prefer to work on fiberglass then foam. Here is my attempt....any feedback on my work and advice on next step to take are welcome...I will probably proceed to spray paint on it or put a Kevlar on it. But I have no idea where I can get Kevlar in Singapore.

I am using 1.5oz outside and 6oz inside.

Yes agreed. Where on pm, sms last night with a few peoples while setting up on my DX18 for over 2hrs.
    Hopefully everything turns out well.

working on composite cover form or balsa is similar at least to me in heli world working on a china made heli to an well build Heli from Germany.
Ops...next step in the future is moving from China made composite to European made composite Glider.

Hopefully the look is Long up in the sky....and don't turn out to be true that I am not ready for it.
But it is part of the fun of this hobby, you get excited, you pay for it and you learn from it.
But we all know we need to be responsible flyer, do whatever we can to ensure safely first.

Supra, Sprite and Blasters do not have a fixed portion on the wing that you can align the moving surfaces against. It is also set in degrees not mm.

Mm of control surface movement is a factor of degree of movement and chord of surface. You're much better off getting a simple device like the Great Planes Accu Throw. Cuts your throw setting time in half and much better accuracy too.

Templates also lose their effectiveness if your aileron trims have to be off center.

Hope you have lots of fun with your gliders!
    James,
Yup you are right, I found out trying to program it that I need to measure it directly which is easier.

Do note that NPark do not allowed the use of motor or any form of propulsion on Bedok slope.
You may want to consider EPP glider like windrider scout or bee2 to get use to flying slope. It very hardy and not easily damage. Flying on the slope is very different from flat ground and with power.
Chiadennis, thanks...I have never been there flying...not likely anytime soon.
Never say never...but thanks for your advice.
