"Always fly with a responsible attitude. You may think that flying low over other people’s heads is proof of your piloting skill; others know better. The real expert does not need to prove himself in such childish ways..." - the Multiplex Build Manual
I found that the Rudder deflection to the left was too stiff and could possibly burn out the servo if nothing was done about it
Decided to do something about the stiff Rudder (from lessons learned during my Typhoon build 2 years ago)
Note also the weak rudder horn attachment, will be filling in the area with Expoxy/Micro Balloon mix later.
Now the Rudder is nice and smooth as a baby's bottom !
I didn't like the original servo tray provided as it doesn't extend into the area of CF wing saddle re-inforcement, this will cause a stress raiser where the tray starts, so I fabricated my own servo tray.
(Sorry Joe, rushing for time ...otherwise would have make a CF one ! )
anyway, back to the cat... Didn't do much today, just abit here and abit there !
Had a hard time sanding the inside of the fuselage so that the ballast tube will go thru as well as sit flush on the bottom but it's finally done.
Made a mold and casted about 200gms nose weight
Dry fitted the tray, servos and all else to make sure everything will go in without binding before epoxy applied to lock the tray in place.
Boy ! ...space is really a premium here !
Last bit before I hit the bed ! ...MPX connectors secured to fuselage so that I can do the wings tomorrow.
