    EasyGlider Electric Brushless Upgrade

    Hi All,

Just like to seek opinion on the brushless upgrade for Easyglider from the folks who have already done that.

Am eyeing the Multiplex BL400 8D brushless motor at NTC but apparently it is 3.2mm shaft diameter whereas the stock motor is 2.3mm with pinion sized for that. Not sure if I can find a suitable pinion of 3.2mm for the BL400 8D if I get it through NTC or if the stock gearbox can fit with a 3.2mmm shaft.

Has anyone successfully found a suitable pinion or has installed a BL400 8D 3.2mm with the stock gearbox?

    Thanks!

I never tried, my easyglider felt good on stock... Anyway, rather than leaving the nose on, you can just chop it off, I'm sure you can find some kind of cowling thats the right size. check RCGroups. They have a ton of excellent EZG modding ideas that i never had the patience to try . I'll probably try it next year... ( I love that plane so much that after decomming one i have to get another one)

I know someone out there has done a BL upgrade on the EZG before, he chopped the nose off and put a BL in a little cavity on a firewall mount. then use a really big spinner so the the fuse transitions smoothly to the spinner, so it looks good.
