HSP 1/10 truck set up - need help.

hi RC folks, need your advice please...
I got a 1/10 truck with a defective ESC. the existing ESC is SP-03018 (as per website, should be used with 13T motors or above). My truck motor is a RC540 brush motor ( no lable how many T). so i assume that my motor is more than 13T.

Can u i use the Tamiya TEU-101BK ESC for my truck? as per tamiya website... this ESC can be used up to a sports tuned class motor (23T). i assume that my motor is not more than 23T...

If yes, can i also use 2S lipo also for this ESC? website never mentioned.

Any suggestion please? just need to fix this truck for a little boy's play...no plan of converting this to brushless due to $$$$ constraints.

Hi!
You can certainly use the RS540 Silver can motor with the tamiya Teu ESC The tamiya ESC can also support Lipo although it does not have a low volt cutoff (ie, you got to monitor yourself) to prevent overdrain of yr lipos.
