I have seen people using Air breather as Air filter in MT . I am curious if the density of the Air breather is smaller enough not to allow small particles or dirt to enter the engine. anyone know?

If you use K&N, the fiter material is basically the same as their air filter products, which is oil soaked cotton gauze sandwiched in-between wire mesh. Haven't really tried it on the rc but has been using it on my 1/1. It does allow better air flow but some ppl believe that it's filtering in not as good as paper or sponge filters, allowing fine dust particles to go through.Originally posted by neoI have seen people using Air breather as Air filter in MT . Just read through K&N's website and if possible, defractors too. At least you can make an informed decision. I will not advise using unbranded air breathers.
Cheers! For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.
