Let's say I want to get a 1/8th buggy. Let's say I'm considering these:

1. Ho Bao Hyper 7
2. Hong Nor Speed 9.5 Pro (here: http://www.madaboutrc.com/home.asp)
3. Hong Nor X1-CR (same link as above)

Let's say I want them for general purpose fun, not racing/competition.

Let's also say I want a .21 engine for 2 and 3.

Finally, let's say I have $800 to spend.

What do you say?

Hyper7, part support from winnie is good. cheap as well. if you buy the most basic models, you will certainly have money leftover for hopups. If i am not wrong, the RTR is about 500+.

Ok, what about engine? I'm not sure what's the engine that comes with the H7. I'm not getting RTR. But just in case I itchy to change it... What's good? OS? Sirio? Italian brands?

I would go for the hyper 7.

Becos:

1. Winnie has it so that means it will be cheaper then most other shop.

2. Winnie has a wall full of parts for it.

3. Should you decide to go serious and do some racing, the hyper 7 is a race winning car.

hyper 7 engine is good enough for bashing, parts are cheap as well
if you ever decide to race a buggy then buy a novarossi engine.

knowing winnie, she will prbably push you to get the .21 8port race engine from hobao. that is if you are getting the pro kit. how abt rex engines?

It is good. I didn't see the Pro kit. I saw the TQ RTR. I think get another engine is a story for another day.

the car ah.....condition is ok lah, chassis of coz scratch like anything, dun expect it to be smooth like use Dove soap liao...

engine.....just change piston sleep, piston, con rod....run max 5 tanks after that lor

not very hop up, just the center stiffener hopped up nia....

comes with 2 set of tyres and rims.....1 piece JPL pipe
