Need help with 2.4ghz Tx & Rx...

    Greetings,
We are deciding to get the above for my son.
Cost and reliability will be the deciding factor........Need your expert opinion as we stumble onto the following
    1. Airtronic Sanwa MX-3FG
    2. Airtronic MX sport FHSS
    3. Futaba 3PMX
    4. Spektrum DX3.0 DSM
    5. Ko Propo Ex5

    Many Thanks

If cost and reliability is the deciding factor, all you have mentioned are from respectable brand. You will just need to go for the cheapest.

My only suggestion would be if you ever need to get an extra Rx which would be readily available and reasonably price.

My preferred choice is still the Futaba 3PK or 3PKS as it is on modular. I can choose to use 40mhz, 27mhz, 2.4Ghz etc depending on the module i put on.

Besides it being abit heavy on the top, it handles quite nice and after market 2.4ghz system is widely available and cheap

Finally, your son should decide which one he likes best

      2. Airtronic MX sport FHSS <-- cheap but with reliability issues.
      3. Futaba 3PMX <-- abit heavy especially for kids.
      4. Spektrum DX3.0 DSM <-- cheap n reliable.
      5. Ko Propo Ex5

      Many Thanks
i would suggest going for a 2.4G system to avoid frequency clashes.

The Spektrum had served me well until i upgraded to the DX3S.

the DX3 retails for around $250 brand new but you should be able to hunt for a used one for less than $200.
