Automotive Coatings are the chemicals, which are used as a protective or decorative coating over the body of an Auto mobile. To be more precise, automotive paints are the substances comprising of solid colouring matter which are mixed in a liquid medium and then applied over the surface of a vehicle.
Resin, pigment and solvent are the three major substrates of paint. Paints used for Automobiles are of several types like water-based paints, metallic paints, non-metallic paints, heat and chemical resistant paints, acrylic paints, fire resistant paints etc.
