LIPO set up for RC car

Hi anyone can advise on LIPO set up for RC car?

I intend to use LIPO 2S with Tamiya buggy , TEU-101BK Electronic Speed Controller , brush motor

Any problems with such a set up and also what mah and discharge recommended for the batt.?

    Thanks

u will need a device to monitor the voltage of your lipo batt. u can use one of the following:
    1. lipo voltage reader: displays the voltage of each lipo cell
    2. low-voltage beeper: audible sound when lipo voltage drops to danger zone
    3. lipo cut-off device: cuts off throttle signal from receiver to ESC when lipo voltage drops to danger zone ie. 3.3V per cell = 6.6V for 2S (2-cell) lipo

Option 3 is the safest IMHO.

why the safety devices? lipo cells will turn violent if the voltage drops too low. it will bloat and explode.

other than that, your buggy set-up is good to go.

      1. Can the TEU-101BK Electronic Speed Controller ( Tamiya ) take LIPO 11.1 V 2200mah ?

      2. can I plug the TEU-101BK Electronic Speed Controller into the Elevator channel of a 6 channel TX ( FM / 2.4 GHz ) and use it acccordingly ?

        1. 11.1V into the Tamiya ESC will most likely roast it. better stick to 8.4V and below.

        2. you should be able to plug the ESC into any channel as the ESC will simply react to any input (positive and negative) from any channel. you can even use the steering to control the throttle if it rocks your boat.
