Can I confirm only the Tamiya servo saver will fit the TA05? Using a Hotbodies servo saver on the TA05 and can't get enough right throw

There are Tamiya servo saver for Hitec servo right? The one I got fits Futaba servos only.

The servo saver are not 90 degrees (at neutral) on the TA05 servos ! ...they are a little slanted to the right (of the car) so that you will clear the chassis on the left.

I have not come across any Tamiya servo savers which will fit Hitec servos, What I'll do is put a little CA into the splines of the Tamiya 'Sanwa' saver, let it semi cure and 'press' it into the hitec servo.

        Good luck !

Hi Tony, I will try with a slanted servo arm first. I think I can shift the servo to the right also for another 1-2mm, didn't cut the ear off too cleanly.

          Thanks for the advice!

yup, agree with ghostfit. have never seen a tamiya servo saver for any other brands servo except for sanwa & futaba. my futaba servo also fits just nice on my ta-05 with very little room left. if you see from the front of the car, the servo saver arm will be tilted at about 10 degrees to the left at neutral.

No wonder I got the wrong pinion ! I though tamiya had installed 48 or 64.

Was trying to get a bigger pinion .. finally got the correct one after making 2 trips to Winnie...

Lack good info in manual ? Or did I miss out ?

I got a HPI shell too.

Usually this is what i will do.
Cut the excess edges out from the moulded shell, those on the bottom, front and rear.

Then cut the front wheel arches out first

Put the cover over the chassis and align the front wheel arches to the front wheel - centered

Use marker to mark the front and rear body post

                          Make the holes

Slot in the body shell, then mark the rear wheels center and cut out the rear arches

trim the edges to perfection, mask and spray

                          Enjoy..

is it i set the car chassis to 8mm, press the car once and set the

Hub Carrier is in degrees and refers to the castor. I think the kit comes with 2 and 4 degrees.

Camber is the degrees from perpendicular to the ground. negative is more slanted inwards to the centre of the car.

I think you got the idea of the ground clearance and rebound.

this is a pretty good summary of some of the adjustments:
