I suggest u download a few manual to read.
. See a car you like eg. Tamiya TT01 simply search tt01 manual

scale is juz the relative size of the model in ratio to the real thing.

Have u decided to play Gp or Ep?

                  1. Search through the net and find more info about Ep / Gp car than decided which to play!
                  2. Ask urself what ur budget?
                  3. Getting a RTR and play first and from there learn more about your car, how its works / Buy a normal kit and fix it yourself and from there u learn more.
                  4. If u dun mind spent more and u are sure u will keep on with this hobby, u can buy a better kit and slowly modify.

For my own view, i would advice u to do more research or better still, go down to track and see what is happening, i belive it will help u alot than u straight away jump into and play... Making a good decision will not only save money, it will also ensure u have a good start in this hobby instead of regret this and that in the later stage!

                  juat my 2cent!

                    yup, jameslow is right...

                    to add:
                    1. set yr budget 1st, else very difficult to narrow down what u want.
                    2. GP or EP.
                    3. On or Off road.
                    4. Do not dump 100% of yr $ into it, set aside some spare $ for consumables/repairs/hop-ups...
                    5. dont rush, do yr 'homework'. else u'll end up regreting.

RTR=ready to run..means that the kit is able the run when u buy back home and charge up battery ,and can start to play..

EP=electric powered..cars that use battery packs to operate the motors...

GP=gas powered..cars that uses nitro to operate nitro engines..

off road is where the track that have lots of soil and sand..have jumps to jump around.

Not really GP will be more costly than EP... depend on what u get! you can tell the guys here whats ur budget first and also do u have any brand in ur mind that u decided to get? like Tamiya? Kyosho? or Hpi etc.....
