    TT-01 differences

Hi, I recently got a 2nd hand Tamiya NISMO Coppermix Silvia - TT01 with LED Lights. Would like to ask the veterans here what is the difference between tt-01 and tt-01D. Thanks!

If I'm not wrong, TT-01D is the Drifting version of TT-01. The tyres with the TT-01D kit is different from the TT-01 kit.

so only the tyres are different?

Also, my car drifts right is ok.. but when drifting left, it tends to straighten very quickly, like it doesn't want to drift. any ideas why?

      thanks.

Not much different except the tyres tho. In regards to your drifting, reset your servos? unscrew the servo horn, zero ur trimming, screw back servo horn making sure that it's vertical. You can start there, if not make sure ur camber is correct, else u can check the link between servo and C-hub, is length according to the manual? If else fails, head down to Serangoon Central Interchange on Tuesday nights and have the SG Drifters there check for you.

          cheers!

tt01d is better then tt01. cuz of the camber top arm, motor heat sink, sport tune motor and drift motor and the usless tyre... not only serangoon have it. look for the drift meet section... www.sgdrifters.com

              hi,

my servos are center and car drives straight, how should i adjust the camber? the steering links are all formed plastics, how to adjust length? I'll try to go down someday.

other than the motor, i only have to get the camber top arm? I just started out, so dont want to spend too much. hehe. i heard need to change the plastic driveshaft, it is necessary? I do notice that the d/s is not completely straight, it is slightly curved.

the alu drive shaft is good to change, it's more efficient. I forgot, there's alot of sanding to be done before building the TT-01, like the lower and upper arms joint to the socket of the chassis. Etc etc..

Go easy on the screws. The screw holes can wear off pretty easy if you over-tighten the screws.

I don't own a TT-01 so I'm not sure how the suspension looks like. If the upper and lower arms are not adjustable, you can't adjust the camber and caster. Look at your steering links, if they are fixed length plastics, then you can't adjust the toe too. If the toe is adjustable, remove both links and adjust their length as per instruction in the manual. This will be the stock setting. You can play around a bit from this point.
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

Had a look of a TT-01 pic in rc-tech. Looks like the steering links and upper arms are fixed, so no adjustment of camber and toe.
