If $90 for 5 car, go Toy R' us. U can view some of the car by clicking BOYS > Auto World

Toy r us shouldn't have only 2 freq. As 27mhz has alot of channels. Maybe u miss out some of them.
If u r scare of frequency crash, ask the sales person for help. Normally the box will indicate the frequency it is using.

Changing the frequency crystal will juz increase the cost on ur side. A pair of xtral will cost u more then $15.

    Or call up Taising.

$59 for a RC car interested? Shop owner told me can go up to top speed 35km/hr... (1/10 scale) comes complete with batt/charger/controller

I bought a few of those cars personally.. quite fun to play with....

quite true... but replacements are cheaper too.. hehe..

But mayb becos they r hard covers... i see tamiya breaking too at the same speeds as well...

But i do admit tamiya rc cars are more hardy... but they costs more too...

But since topic is into affordable budget cars.. hence my recommendation

            Oh,

I forget to mention they have a small circuit for all their customers/members to play their cars during their opening hours in East coast (near macdonalds)

They have frequencies like, 27, 29, 35, 40, 49. For your info. hope it helps in ur search for your kids.
