How to match a ESC and motor?

Hi newbie here, just into rc boating. Anyone here know any website that teach newbie , how to match a motor and esc.

Like for example 180Amp boat esc can match with which brushless in order to make the boat run faster.

Shouldnt be a problem trying to match any esc to any brushless motor.

To make the motor run faster or slower, u will have to adjust the timing accordingly. Too much timing will cause the motor to run hotter, got to find her sweet spot.

General setting, follow the esc manual to set the timing.
