Whiplash Sport20 Hydro test run at Bedok Reservoir
Well guys, it exploded in my hull. I am fortunate enough that the hull was still in a piece. Lipos are safe but the ESC took out my neu motor and reciever and the smell is always remind me of this dreadful date

maybe your whip still running wet, so the burden will be on esc, you need a lifter prop since the lipo are too heavy upfront or need strut adjustment. From what I've see on your setup, it should works fine which I don't really understand why the esc explode. I previously had 2 of those esc's but both fried with the motors also.

Thanks for the input guys, can't really tell if I do not have a power analyzer to get some figures reading. Prior to this run I made some adjustment to the strut deeper and shift the lipos back to lighten the nose. My esc timing is set to 0 as recommended based on steve neu. Anyway I emailed dee chan we have agreed to have this burned esc replaced. my neu motor is the bigger issue than my esc nuff said. As well as my mr3000 rx gone!
Honestly, I am really not certain on the quality of these escs as compared some hongkong esc counterparts available in market which cost lesser with better performance. I certainly do not have any flames to etti escs just that it under performed for my expectations being a end user for a typical sport boater setup. For fairness, it could have been my mistake on the other end which likely I don't think
Sorry guys had to let off some steam with a rant. I have moved on and will be running my whip this weekend again with a different setup
how did u fried those 2 esc and what setup you had?

Just to let u know, Neu motor D windings run hotter than Y windings.
I previously had a D winding, it ran fine quite a number of times and one fine day it blew my CC Hydra 240A esc!!! I changed to a Y winding and my new CC Hydra 240A esc is running great till this day.
