never had a rc boat, question is, for those nitro/electric boat, can they actually lift off the surface of the water and they go really fast and crash? Like u seen on actual boat race? which boat can do that? electric/nitro?

Yes, it can. This is called a blowover. U have to read the wind n waves correctly to prevent a blowover. Blowover is more common with Hydro, Cat n Tunnel hulls due to aerodynamic shape n their use of aerodynamics to gain more speed.

Its all abt controlling the throttle n read the weather conditions.
