My New Red Bull Hydro

having look through my P-sport setup again, i decided to play around to locate sweet spot for the CG.

it ran good on the maiden run but the interior was very wet. Started to silicon turn fin bolts and sealed up stuffing tube resulted in tremendous improvement.

2nd run, slap on 645/3 bladed. Borrowed a pair of heavier 4000mah lipos it ran like dream

I love this hydro. Only wish i had more playtime with it. My learning curve for hydroplanes is slowly picking up week by week.

i made tabs to keep the canopy from dislodging during runs

Pertaining to the previous post. I made a carbon fiber tray for the ESC and a RX tray using servo box lid. hope to nail the CG this time round

I also home-made a GPS using namecard box. cost around $90 bucks for the battery and gps. Works great.

Sure! nowadays quarry having choppy water not suitable for this hydro.

Strut level at neutral .With higher pitch prop the boat chine walk like havoc. With a mild pitch prop a bit better but still running too loose. I suspect its the turn fin .not having luck with curve turn fin. gonna try a straight turn fin and see how.
