firstly hies all

i want to start a boat hobby but i hope to custom make my own boat..but i always love those ferries likes what "batam express,penguin,wave master etc..'' to batam or somewhere in malaysia so wonder can that be done and ran fast, priceing wise,and is rc hobbiest expensive??

Its the same for every hobby or rather anything else. U want F1 speed, u pay F1 price.

Maybe you should try those readymade boats first, get a feel of the fun first. You can always retrofit the electronics on your scratch build ones later. Like Adrianli said, Nothing is "cheep". You will probably be set back abt $1K for starters. Why don't you visit our local hobby shop to have a 'reality check'.
