Looks like you are running off sembawang coastal waters. Just a personal experience which I like to share with you for running in salt water. The potential dangers are:

1. Lose of control, if water proofing is not"perfect" esp at the rx portion or switch portion due to sea water.

2. If cleaning is not done thoroughly, rust immediately sets into metallic parts, rendering everything worthless and unable to run subsequently.
