Wat's the cheapest RC boat?

Anyone know where to get the cheapest rc boat? Wanted one just as rescue boat, so it has to be small too, cos dont wana travel with 2 big boats to punggol.

Found 2 at toyr'us, both selling below $30 but max range is only 30 meters, guess they r for swimming pools. Asked rotor about their 320 model selling at $31+, but they r not sure how far it would go... . Didnt wana buy another RX cos tat will cost over $100.

The rescue boat i have in mind should have no range problem going across punggol pond and cost around $50.

Mustafa's $60 RTR boat any range problem? If not mayb can strip the electronics and install it on my own build. 30" is too big.

i think the mustafa $60 boat ok lah. anyway, if u sail in puggol pond, it should not be a problem. Jsut walk over to the other side to retrive it lor.

i was thinking of suggesting to u to get a hovercraft, as a resue boat. As the rubber of air can use to knock the ship without much impact.

Oh the rescue boat is for the destroyer, as she doesnt have sail, so will take years to reach the side of the pond.

Hovercraft sounds good, but it's probably out of my budget.

I dunno if its specific to the one I saw but I did see someone at Punggol Park attach a fishing line to his hovercraft. I wondered why at first - but when I saw his hovercraft sink, it struck me that the hovercraft did not dwell well in the water as well. I think the air cushion bag filled with water and the poor thing sank. So.... dunno if need a rescue boat for the rescue hovercraft.....

A bit over your budget but you can try Aquacraft Reef Racer. Only 15" long but highly manuverable. The other similar boat is Hobbyzone Zig-Zag Racer.

Towers is selling the Reef Racer at USD$75 RTR.

i dont think you should worry about 30metre limit. from one end of the pond to another end ( the breadth) is around less than 100m.

should your battleship stop in the middle of the pond, i think the little wave of the water will push the ship to either end . just a matter of time.

Guys, thanks for suggestions, looks like there isn't a long range boat for my kind of budget.

i will probably build a small rescue tug. Any idea if those GWS speed controllers can be used in boat? Thinking of ICS50 with an EM100 size motor..
