Took her out for a run yesterday morning with a new setup:

Motor : Neu 2230 1Y
ESC : Swordfish 240HV
Batts : Turnigy Nano-tech 12S2P 9000mah
AUW now is 9.5kg


OMG!!! It ran freaking fast!!! GPS clocked at 60.3mph, 97km/h. This was the fastest run ever. CG was a little too forward, move it back a little and speed will increase.

Yup, running on 12S now. The sparks dont bother me. It is my maiden so I ran her for abt 2 mins only. See attached Eagletree graph. The temp probe is on the motor. The reading is for one pack of 12S so Amp draw must x2. Its drawing 190ampa on full throttle.

Prop size is Octura X455.

Moved the CG back a little and this morning's run it crossed the 100km/h mark!!! 63.3mph = 102km/h.

I changed the prop to Octura X457 and it went faster!!! Not much thou, 64.5mph abt 104km/h.

She ran great, only thing this morning got joggers come n ask many questions while I was running her. Thatz the hobby, have to be frenly with other users of the park. However they were shocked when little flying dragon came to life.

The auntie keep shouting at me asking me how to retrieve my boat if stranded, while I was taming the dragon at 100km/h. Have to stop the boat n point to her I use a fishing rod to retrieve the stranded boat.

Unless you're not using any spark arrestor, even 500m away can get alot of distraction, 12s is a super sparkling
