Well done bro ! ...looks lovely

...one suggestion thou, ...you may need a keel ! ...otherwise when the wind blows, she'll "keel" over and not recover !
Seriously running out of ...Storage space !

Looks like u are using only Transverse Framing System. Why not use a combination of Longitudinal and Transverse Framing System???

If u dont understand wat I meant, read up here : http://www.antiessays.com/free-essays/8513.html

          and here : http://www.m-i-link.com/dictionary/d...sverse+framing

DIY SAIL Boat Step by step

            Hi Bro fuse,Ghostfit n Adrianli,

Fuse ,the lenght of the hull is only abt 400mm and wide 130mm it could be estimated by comparing the size of the spraypaint can.

Ghostfit thanks for your remarks...it is still not ready n finish boat may not meet my expectation cos this is my first.

            Adrianli.
Thanks for sharing with me this website abt the framing sys n more, it’s good to read n learn more of wat we are doing in-order to improve. I m not from marine trade so yr sharing will help me to construct the boat. Actually I was inspired to build this boat after seeing this video. A few questions hope bro could answer.
1 Is there a ratio between the height of the mast and hull width. I cut it agar!! Agar!!
2.The crewman that swing from port to starboard n vice-versa does any one know exactly how the servo n radio should be programmed. It definitely required 3 servos if I m not wrong.
            3. Do u think the weight of the man is critical in order to balance or counter-force correctly when she sail at strong wind. I intended to add two side floats to keep it afloat at all times.
            4. Any other comment or has info to build it correctly…I can redo or modify as required.

            here is the video.

something is missing from your sailboat.

the bottom cneter fin aka keel and the counter balance weight .. else it might just sink when the man sway from left to right.

Hi Fuse, thanks for your reply.I m aware of it cos will be adding the keel only at later stage else will be harder to work on it.I did also mentioned to add two side floats or fin that can help to stay a float....do u know the correct name of that part ,u refer to video n will know wat i m asking....BTW did u met b4 @ bedok reservoir?

Nice looking laser. If the figerine is heavy enough, you wont need a keel/buld counter balance. But for longitudinal stability, a short keel will suffice.

Good job in the build. Very impressive.

Brother can use PVC pipe with screw cap so can load number of lead to counter balance it.Thanks
