Can. But on a single pass SAW run only for a Rigger.

If u plan for an oval run, stick to 30,000rpm. SAW boats run at 40,000 - 50,000rpm on a single pass only. That is for them to clock the fastest speed they can achieve.

    So u building a rigger?

Then u better not run too high rpm, I'm afraid something might go. Remove ur shaft and round it on a glass, I believe after some run time, it will be bent. Thatz wat happened to mine for the Yamaha.

A bent shaft running at high rpm is a receipe for diaster.

These boats are made for a certain speed only, so a shaft drive is more than sufficient. As I said to you b4, these JH 600+mm long boats are good for beginner. Dont expect too much from it.

                1) The hull just aint cutting the water nicely.
                2) The CG of the hull is already determined by the shaft.
                3) U upgrade the motor, thus heavier motor, CG will go haywire.

Buy a complete empty hull and build a fast boat from there. Keep the JH boat as it is and enjoy it. I have been down tis road wif my Yamaha A-5 before, and now it sits nicely on the shelf await major operation to convert it to flex drive.

Once u see my ebay Catamaran and Mono boats, I think you will drool.

I dont have ebay address lah. I dont open shop n sell things. Just go ebay n search. I have never liked the looks of a rigger, not my type of boat. I prefer boats wif muscles look, like a catermaran hull. Hoping to own a Hanspeter hull someday, but transport will big a major headache.

I dont usually boat on sundays, maybe once in a while. Mostly on Sat morning either Punggol, Bishan or Woodlands depends on my mood.

There are also electric boaters at punggol on sunday sometimes too.
