Recommendation for a beginner

Hi,

Is there a recommendation for a beginner for boats?
Controlling a boat is as difficult as Heli?
I'd like to try one which is EP. Can I jump to a better one straight away?

Come down to Punggol Park on Sunday afternoon or Bishan Pond when Adrian, Frank, Ammo, SBB and other bros are running to see what you like before jumping in (as a fast & well set up boat can cost more than a heli ). There are many options so see what you prefer before you buy.

Controlling a boat is not difficult... setting up one to run fast and handle well is a little more challenging

Punggol Park has a larger area for running. Bishan is alot smaller but its alot easier to retreive stranded boat, espically if we had to do tat every time we play . PP can play gas and electric while BP only electric is allowed.

Like Doraemon mention controlling a boat is not difficult... its more like a off road vehicle and i like the bashing feeling without the cleaning part . Same goes to setting up one to run fast and handle well is a little more challenging and tends to cost more.

Some guys are eariler and come to PP to boat from 1pm on Sundays. However, most will arrive before 3pm to start boating and carparking becomes a problem then. See ya this Sunday.

You can start off with an EP. But as I can see now at PP, most boaters are running nitro or gas boats. Could be due to the high pricing of lipo batts.

You can do your shopping for boats at Jet Hobbies. They have gas, nitro and EP boats.
