new to rc yachts

hi all, im thinking of starting rc sailing...how much would be the initial setup cost for all the equipment excluding tx and rx? normally wad batteries do u guys use for sailing?btw im thinking of getting the thunder tiger victoria sail boat...thx...

You have a good choice. Lots of mods can be dome to her to make her competitive. The boat is around $180. Sail arm around $50 and standard servo $30. Get a simple 2 or 4 channel radio standard servo and a sail arm servo. Rotor has everything needed. Join us on saturdays ponggol park pond 2pm to 6 pm. We sail/ race mostly IOM's (International One Meter) In fact I have one I am selling ready to sail with professionally made BG sails and hitec sial winch. Just install your reciever and batteries. It is a skiff design called CJ1
Complete boats like this usually cost between $2000 to $3000. Selling mine for $600 nett. I just ordered a new boat. Hull alone costs $1650 without sails, rigging, mast and winch servo.Look at
