Building plans for Edge 540 or Extra 300

Do anyone here has any building plans for a 3D electric plane, either a edge 540 or extra 300? Hmmm.. thinking of building one based on depron foam which i might order from Australia. Btw, can depron foam be found in Singapore? I am pretty new to the DIY scene so I am sorry if I am asking for too much...

5mm depron can be found cheaply at Art Friend in Bras Basah complex
Suitable for building most foam planes

Hmm.. okie okie.. Thanks so much for the info.. Any other guys know where to get plans? Thinking of doing this 3D plane for some aerobatics and was hoping to do one that has a proper aerofoil wing.. Not just a flat piece of foam. Btw, Anyone knows where to find balsa wood for my wings?

          Hi,

You can try to modify a Coroplast Edge 540 plan found in spadtothebone.com. Instead of using Coro, you can use depron instead.

Yes they call it compressed foam. Look for the type without the cardboard backing, costs about $3.++ per sheet

does the plan has a flat wing or a proper aerofoil design? i am looking for one that has a proper aerofoil coz i find those flat wings tend to make flying and gliding harder.. e plane will always seem to face upwards.. BTw, i can't seem to find the plan on spadtothebone.com It doesn't seem to show on thier list of free plans..

                  Try www.3dfoamy.com

Go to plans/manuals , there are many many free plans downloads, don't worry about the billing, it only shows $0.00 but it's free download.

You may want to get some experience building from a kit first. The control horns, linkages etc. can get from the shops. You can download the plans broken up into A4 sized sheets, print and stick them together. The planes fly fine without airfoils at that scale, maybe even better with the weight saved.

the plans he refers to is the tiled plans. print it out and stick/glue/scotch tape it together . for cutting of foam.. dont need hot wire also can.. but make sure your pen knife is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY sharp. my sister recommended me coping saw but i've yet to try it out
