Flying sites with runway for electric planes?

Hi,

Anyone got good suggestions for sites with runway for planes to taxi, take off and land with good tarmac /concrete runway? I only flew at OHR and also Bukit Batok (that is closing down anyway) always like to explore other areas so any input irregardless of distance is appreciated. Please do provide exact location.

There should be one at Woodlands... but most likely you need to be club member to use their facility.

"Runway" very hard to find nowadays, when even the airspace is under "threat" and disappearing.

Tuas south ave 14 runway about 300m.nitro and gas also can land

Definitely can be done, but not sure the level of rookieness u referring about. I find it very suitable for the dynam p51d with flaps that I fly.

Definitely challenging, significant cross wind and gusts. Takes some courage to nail it. Suggest flaps will help as the runway is not long. Do try to touch down further out so your plane can bleed off the excess speed and stop before hitting anything.

All else fails, plenty of grass for u to belly land. You got the whole field...

Yep, thats the place I fly on weekdays and not weekends. But its got some wicked cross winds and windblast around the area close to the gate and trees. For awhile it was like my own private field especially on weekdays.

And yes to the threadstarter who ask :

The runway is adequate if you have a plane with flaps. I am a beginner-intermediate and did manage to land safely first time in a low-wing with flaps deployed. (LUCKY ME!)

From the pic posted, I am glad some one came to clear the fallen tree trunk which was blocking the 'runway'. I called NPD a few times when it was still not removed. Well that was a few months back

Its been about 3 months since my last flight.

I will swing by tomorrow at 9am (Aug 12) if you there and I will intro myself.

I went to OHR later in the same evening around 4pm+ . Saw some guys doing their DLG thing and turns out one of the serious DLG flyer was an old friend of mine!!! Small world!!!!
