Just wanna share my building progress of the RBC kit Microbe

The Kit
RBC Microbe kit comes in the form of CNC cut balsa with the necessary wires for linkages and also a ring plus a motor mount suitable for Typhoon motor. Instruction comes in the form of technical drawing which also includes the parts listing and minimal written instruction in English.

Construction is fairly simple - almost like snapping on but still requires CA-ing them together. For me, I still need some help in deciphering some instruction which can be quite vague at times.

The wing is completed, and now moving on to the fuselage.

Warbird, thanks for microbe! So far I have done have the fuselage (abt 90%) but haven't been able to take the pictures yet. Probably will do it today

Building has been quite slow these few days - but FUN! I have said I'm glad that the fuselage is 90% done now. Any recommendation for a good and light covering materials from you guys?

I am still researching for the motor.. .. probably a HET Typhoon? and will be using HS-81 servos

any comments?

Hi Mike,

Use very light covering material. I think NTC sells some Light Oracover.
Also have a look here: Weight Table.

As the wing is very delicate you have to be very careful when applying the covering in order to to warp the wing while shrinking the covering.

A Typhoon 6 will be a great choice for this cute plane

Hi Mike,

depending on the Typhoon 6 model you use you require a 10A - 18A ESC.

Typhoon 6/3D and 6/13 will be happy with a Tsunami 10
Typhoon 6/15 and 6/20 can be used with a Tsunami 10 but better would be a Tsunami 18 or similar ESC.
