    Futaba 6exap TX battery

Hi bros, I'm currently using a 72mhz futaba 6exap and i realised that the tx batteries cant last long after a charge. The current tx battery is
    NiCd 9.6vdc - 600mah...

Is there anyway that i can get a new tx battery with a long sustaining battery power so that i can achieve longer flight time Please advise.

    Thank you

Try the LIPO bat for Tx. LHS would carry them.

      Nicd vs Lipo

Hi S, my apologies, I saw your tx battery is nicd. Lipo tx battery holds charge and is usable from 11.1V to 12.6V.

My previous comment of poor tx battery doesn't hold.

Could you tell what is the average voltage level? Perhaps the forummers whom is familiar with NICD voltage level can advise.

      Regards.

        Hi Bros,
I believe the Lipo pack cannot fit into the Tx battery compartment.
You will need to add in a diode to bring down the voltage as well.
Maybe using NiMH cells will give a longer operating time.
