A high wing trainer, a simulator for practice and some friends would help you go a long way in this hobby. Honestly, the scale birds are very nice to watch, and as a newb its always tempting to get 1. On the topic, Joe , the fields are getting fewer and the pilots fewer still. It is better to make friends than to make en##ies. Anyway since we get to see from both parties, it is ok to forgive and forget. Anyway it is better to greet ppl on the field with smiles rather than long faces. It was just a model plane after all and All of us make mistakes at one time or other. That makes us Humans. so like my parting msg says, Having fun yet?
